With G Rally shifting its focus to building SSVs under the KTM X-Bow name, the team’s OT3 and G-Ecko vehicles—built for competition in the Challenger class—will now be built and developed by DaklaPack Rallysport. This will ensure both cars stay maintained and fresh even as their creator prioritizes the X-Bow.
“After five years of hard work developing the G-ECKO and OT3 platforms, my team and I are very happy to have found the right people at DaklaPack Rallysport to continue what we have built,” G Rally boss Guillaume de Mévius stated. “We will remain closely connected to the project, sharing our experience and technical knowledge to support the continued development and success of both vehicles. We are confident that DKR is the right partner to take these projects into the future.”
DaklaPack serves as the Portuguese and Spanish distributor for Red-Lined Motorsport’s T1 cars as well as a dealer of the Taurus T3 Max, the latter also competing in Challenger against the G-Ecko and OT3. The team also builds its own vehicles like the DKR Evo Ultimate.
The OT3 began life with Overdrive Racing before the blueprint was handed off to G Rally Team as Overdrive focused on the Toyota Hilux; Overdrive and G Rally were connected via the de Méviuses as Guillaume’s father Grégoire co-founded Overdrive. In 2025, the G-Ecko debuted and is the main car used in the World Rally-Raid Championship by G Rally.
After the de Méviuses purchased the KTM X-Bow line last fall, the name was gradually integrated into the G Rally program. The team competed as “KTM X-Bow powered by G Rally Team” for much of the 2026 W2RC season before switching to “KTM X-Bow Lab Team” for the Rallye du Maroc. Unlike the G-Ecko and OT3, the X-Bow rally raiders will be intended for the SSV division.
“We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with G Rally Team,” DaklaPack owner Dave Klaassen commented. His niece Puck races the G-Ecko in the W2RC. “Our ambition is to provide customers with a professional, reliable and long-term racing partner. The G-Ecko Challenger One and OT3 are valuable additions to our activities, and we see significant opportunities to further develop these platforms while maintaining the continuity and support that existing customers deserve.”
